Presidents Message
We have two great first year contests to recap this month. The first on this list was the Valley Day on the River, in Valley, AL. I want to congratulate them on a great first year event, they worked really hard putting this contest together, and it showed.
The second contest was Planes, Trains, and Barbecue, in Tavares, FL. Even though this contest was in its first year, they had organizing veteran, Cheryl Fishel organizing this contest. A great event on a beautiful location in Lake County, thank you Tavares, and we look forward to next year.
With those two contests, we have completed the second leg of the Alabama Crown Qualifiers, and the first half of the FBA Season. With fuel prices as high as they are, I am sure most of us will stay home and relax, until September roles around and the FBA starts up once again.
I want to thank the FBA Reps, for their great effort, and the great job that they do. I want to thank the judges, and cook teams as well.
Don't forget about the FBA Fun Cook at Camp Mack in Lake Wales, FL. You should have received your brochure, and you need to make your plans, if you have not already done so. Make sure make any necessary reservations at Camp Mack as quickly as you can. Space is limited.
The FBA elections are once again upon us, in next month's issue, we will post our candidates, and why they feel you should elect them.
I want to make sure I thank The BBQ Guru once again for being the title sponsor for the FBA Triple Crown Series and the other sponsors as well.
